SMI was proud to attend NASMDA 2025, a truly inspiring gathering of Sikh healthcare professionals. Keynote speakers, Dr. Swaiman Singh and Ravi Singh, shared powerful messages on seva, resilience, and the importance of compassion in shaping the future of medicine.

For Sikh premeds and medical students, the conference offered invaluable mentorship and community-building opportunities, paving the way for greater representation of Sikhs in healthcare. Groundbreaking research on healthcare disparities and the unique needs of Punjabi communities was also showcased, pointing toward more equitable and effective solutions in medicine.

We were especially proud that Sikh Medical Initiative students presented their own impactful research projects on clinical care and artificial intelligence at this national platform, demonstrating the strength and innovation of the next generation of Sikh physicians.
