The Sikh Medical Initiative (SMI) is hosting its Residency Program Director Panel: Inside the Match in Internal Medicine, bringing together Internal Medicine leaders to provide an inside look at the residency application and Match process.

Dr. Simerjot K. Jassal, Program Director of Internal Medicine at UC San Diego, and Dr. Gurpreet Dhaliwal, Professor of Medicine at UCSF, shared practical insights into what residency program directors value beyond board scores. The discussion explored how to build a competitive and authentic application, develop meaningful mentorship relationships, strengthen clinical reasoning, and stand out throughout the residency selection process.

The session concluded with a live Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions directly to experienced physician educators.
