The Sikh Medical Initiative (SMI), in collaboration with WEH and the Punjabi Women’s Network (PWN), hosted the second installment of Sikh Women in Healthcare: Stories of Resilience, an evening dedicated to storytelling, mentorship, and community.
Sikh women across healthcare shared personal reflections on resilience, discussing the challenges they have overcome, the lessons they have learned, and the experiences that shaped their journeys in medicine. Through candid conversations grounded in Sikh values, attendees gained insight into navigating adversity while building meaningful and fulfilling careers.
This event highlighted the importance of representation, mentorship, and sangat in fostering the next generation of Sikh healthcare professionals. By creating spaces for open dialogue and shared experiences, SMI continues to empower students and trainees through authentic connection and community.
